RIDING YOUNG HORSES OR FOALS IN RIGHT-HANDED LEAD
Event Location:
Domaine de Malvies, Domaine de Malvies, Quarante, Occitanie, 34310, France
Event Description
A day dedicated to young horses and the calm learning of outdoor outings.
Depending on your situation you have two possibilities: either you ride a horse, or your young horse is too young to be ridden, or is in the process of starting to be ridden and is not yet advanced enough in the saddle, so you can take it on the right.
The day's ride is an easy 15km circuit with several training breaks. We begin the ride on the ground to establish connection, relaxation, and responsiveness with your horse. The communication established during each warm-up allows us to ensure your horse is safe and ready to ride. There will be several in-hand sections during this ride to support your horse's physical development and to teach you how to navigate roads, narrow passages, embankments, ditches, singletrack trails in the woods, and so on.
The day includes: The route, its verification and any contingency plans, watering areas for the horses, a secure picnic area with a provided tie line, care and safety equipment, supervision and instruction in outdoor riding including learning knots, managing emotions, gaits, being comfortable in and out of a group, navigating technical sections, reading your own and other horses, checking and using equipment, etc. Learn why our rides always result in happy horses and riders.
Bring your own picnic. Saddlebags (shoulder bags) can be rented if you don't have your own.
