3-day workshop with Russel Higgins (July 1-3, 2023): Partnership in the Great Outdoors

Horses are animals of wide open spaces, but the same cannot be said for us humans. Discover new skills over longer distances, both on the ground and in the saddle, with Russel Higgins, who has come all the way from New Zealand to coach you.

ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP

Who hasn't dreamed of great freedom? Of long gallops outdoors with a strong connection? Of a subtle partnership at a distance with the lasso? Or even of a relationship so strong that your horse doesn't refer to others, but to you in outdoor situations.

We are immensely honored to welcome to Equideo an exceptional couple: Ruth and Russel Higgins. They will be traveling across the globe to come to us, and you will be charmed by their warmth and their teaching talent.

The clinic begins each day at 8:30 am with a welcome, followed by theory and practical exercises for riders. A Q&A session is scheduled, as well as open discussion about horses. Russel will guide you step by step, both on the ground and/or in the saddle, according to your expectations and needs, to help you achieve your goals. Do you need a stronger connection when riding in a group? Does your horse get easily excited outdoors? Does he startle at the slightest change? Do you need a more confident horse? Would you like to develop his freedom over longer distances? Do you want more precise responses? Do you need a horse who doesn't lose his composure as soon as his trailer mate moves away? Benefit from Russel Higgins' extensive expertise in equine psychology and behavior during this 3-day clinic and profoundly strengthen your relationship with your horse.

Each day ends around 5:30pm (times adjusted according to the weather).

ABOUT RUSSEL HIGGINS

A renowned horseman, Russel Higgins has taught in an incredible number of countries. He teaches and trains horses in New Zealand for nine months of the year, and travels on clinic tours for the other three. Russel has a deep love for horses, but also for people, to whom he generously shares his passion and knowledge. His goal? To help people and horses better understand each other.

“In case of very high temperatures above 32-33°C, the workshop will take place from 6:30 am to 1 pm with a brunch break around 10 am. We will then have lunch together and finish with a Q&A session on the day's activities. Free time afterwards.”
