Horses, regardless of breed, are all different as individuals. Some like to move around, others less so. Some are emotional and tense easily, others are intrusive and have many opinions.
If you treat all horses the same way, you'll get inconsistent results because your approach will work for some and not for others. The goal is to bring out the best in each horse, and to do that, you need to tailor your approach to each horse's individual temperament. If you don't adapt to the horse's needs, you'll likely trigger tension, fear, or defensiveness.
Just as people have different personalities, horses have different character traits and tendencies. This means that what triggers one horse might be the opposite for another. Most problems with horses arise when you do the wrong thing for that particular horse—you're too fast or too slow, too gentle or too insistent.
